Quantification of LDH from a Particle-co Cultured Alveolar Macrophage Supernatant by the Autoanalyzer
You Seon-Woo

Abstract
fiber was developed to replace asbestos. However, the man-made mineral fiber has similar physical and chemical characteristics with asbestos so it must be considered with respect to health hazard. Therefore, this study shows the cell virulence of silica, asbestos and man-made mineral fibers by adding the dust at the dose of 10, 20, or 100§¶/§¢ to an alveolar macrophage for 1 to 3 days. We then measured the amount of LDH with an auto-analyzer and tried to find the toxicity. of silica, asbestos and man-made mineral fibers that effect the human body. According to the results, silica, asbestos and man-made mineral fibers showed a similar increase of LDH with 10, 20, or 100 §¶/§¢ until 2 days, even though it was irregular from 3 days. The increase of LDH was indicative of the cytotoxicity of these fibers.
